CERAMIC FIBERS

Ceramic Fibers are made from high purity alumino-silicate materials melted at high temperature in an electric arc furnace. It is lightweight and has very low thermal conductivity, excellent handling strength, low heat storage, thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance. It also provides excellent sound absorption and excellent fire protection.

CERAMIC FIBER BLANKETS AND BOARDS:

Our ceramic fiber blankets and boards are available in a variety of densities, thicknesses, widths and lengths, and custom vacuum formed shapes.

Common Grade: Max service temperature 1100°C (1800°F)

High Purity Grade: Max service temperature 1260°C (2300°F)

Zirconia Grade: Max service temperature1430°C (2600°F)

Typical applications for these materials include:

Furnace linings, Hot Face, intermediate and back up
Back-up insulation for brick and monolithic linings

Combustion chamber liners, boilers and heaters

Barrier against flame or heat

face layer for high velocity or abrasive furnace atmosphere

Low mass kiln car construction

Fire protection

Incineration linings

Tube seal fabrication

Expansion joints

Seals

Thermal and acoustical insulation

Domestic appliances (ovens, water heaters linings for combustion areas,  gas fireplaces & wood Stove insulation,…)

Refractory ceramic fiber boards are rigid panels that resist higher gas velocities than ceramic fiber blankets. They are ideal for furnaces, boiler ducts and stack lining due to their low thermal conductivity and their low heat storage allowing shorter cycle times and quicker access for maintenance.

They can be used in direct contact with flames. They feature very low thermal conductivity. They have a low heat storage capacity and a good thermal shock resistance allowing them to be used in applications where large variations in temperature occur. They are Easy to machine, cut and install.

Depending of the    applications and of the quantities involved, we will be able to give you customized prescriptions and very competitive quotations.

Ceramic Fiber Modules:

Refractory ceramic fiber modules have the highest insulating value achievable with ceramic fibers. Each module is a continuous folded blanket under compression. Module linings prevent heat losses, increasing the furnace productivity and reducing maintenance costs.

They are offered with a large selection of attachment systems that utilize 316 stainless steel yoke and support tubes to meet most installation needs.

Key Features :

Fast and easy installation
Lower heat storage and fuel costs
Very light lining, less steel required
Different anchor systems available

Typical applications include:

Homogenizing furnaces
Process heaters

Ceramic kilns

Annealing furnaces

Heat treating furnaces

Thermal oxidizers
Burner blocks
Induction furnace covers

Glass tempering furnaces

Depending of the applications and of the quantities involved, we will be able to give you customized prescriptions and very competitive quotations.

Bulk Ceramic Fibers:

Bulk ceramic fibers are manufactured to offer excellent performance in high-temperature applications.

Traditional applications include:

Expansion joints construction
Base seals

Low mass kiln car construction

Tube seal fabrication

Thermal and acoustical insulation

Depending of the applications and of the quantities involved, we will be able to give you customized prescriptions and very competitive quotations.
